Unionville Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America. In short, this means that we are Presbyterian in government, Reformed in theology, and Evangelical in mission.
To be Presbyterian in government simply means to be ruled by a bodied of elected elders.
To be Reformed in theology has two primary areas of consideration. First, it speaks to our continual submission to the Word of God; that it may continually reform us. Second, it refers to the great Protestant Reformation. In this regard, we hold to the teachings of the great reformers themselves, i.e. John Calvin and John Knox etc…
To be Evangelical in mission simply means that we uphold the Great Commission, namely to preach the gospel to the lost.
